Fireplace Blower

I have a wood burning fireplace with a glass door and I am looking to install a blower to spread out the heat. I found out that the glass door I have must be open when there is a fire burning so I would need a blower/fan that works with the fireplace door being opened. Can someone recommend one? Thank you! The model number is CL-3001. When we used the fireplace this past weekend, it is only warm in the section closest to the fireplace? Does that happen for everyone else? Will a blower solve my problem? In order to spread the warmth from your fireplace (with your fireplace door being opened), you need a radiator with a plenum (a chamber that is meant to contain air) and an external fan, like the Mr. Fireplace Radiator with Right-side Fan (Mr. Flame Fireplace Radiator — Right-side fan | Fireplaces | Northern Tool + Equipment). It's $500 on Nextag.com. The unit's plenum runs along the base of the front of your fireplace, where it picks up cool air from the room and then sends out heated air throughout the room. The radiator captures the heat that would normally be lost up the chimney. So, figure in the cost you will save in the long-run by using something like this. It's great for cold winters! Also, is your fireplace prefabricated/does it have an electric fan installed? According to Accurate Inspections, Electric fans are installed with many zero clearance prefabricated fireplaces and stoves and where inserts have been installed. These are not removed by the inspection company. They are retrofitted to other fireplaces. They help to distribute the heat out and away from the firebox. Listen for unusual noises when the fan is running as unusual noises sometimes are signals of pending problems. The Mr. Flame Fireplace Radiator will not work with my Pleasant Hearth glass door because you need to keep the door closed and you cannot do that with the Pleasant Hearth. Also, it wont fit properly. I dont have one of those electric fans? Where can I get a fireplace electric fan that will work with my Pleasant Hearth door? Thank you!
