The purchase of a Tempur-Pedic bed is investment for your health and good sleeping habits. It makes sense to take every precaution to make sure the materials that make it unique last as long as possible. The removable Tempur-Pedic mattress cover is anti-microbial and therefore requires more delicate handling than your average bed cover. Proper care can ensure your mattress cover lasts as long as you need it to.
Instructions
1. Completely unzip the top portion of the mattress cover. The non-slip bottom portion should remain under the mattress and should not be washed.
2. Prep the washing machine by putting it on the gentle cycle and allowing it to fill with cool water. If washing by hand, fill your washing container with clean, cool water.
3. Add a mild or gentle detergent according to box's instructions for a small load and run the delicate/gentle cycle on the washer or gently wash by hand.
4. Tumble dry the cover on low and remove it while it is still damp. Allow the cover to air dry for the final stage. Or, hang the cover up and allow it to air dry for the full amount of time.
Tips Warnings
The Tempur-Pedic manufacturers recommend using an industrial sized washing machine and dryer if possible. Most residential units will not be large enough to accommodate a full mattress cover.
Do not use any harsh stain removers or chlorine based products when washing a Tempur-Pedic mattress cover.
