Thanks !!! You have been a very big help!!! AJW This is my site. Your welcome!! Thankx for the link. jeff. how did you get the back panel off. i have the same model (kenmore 110.62992100)? i took the hex screws off the back, but it seems to be tack welded every 16 or so along the both sides and where the back panel meets the top of the side panels (right angle the back of the top of the dryer...on both sides). Hi cheeky: On yours you have to come in thru the front. Go to www3.sears.com type in your mdel # then select cabinet, open the diagram. Look down at the seam between the door section and the lower panel. See that thing called retainer on the left? Slip a thin putty knofe or an old credit card in there and push to release the clip and rotate the panel out. Then locate the thermal cutoff on the heater element box and test it. Are the dryer and the exhaust hose/pipe full of lint? If the thermal cutoff is bad, you'll get a kit that also includes the high limit thermostat. If the TCO is blow and the dryer and vent are clean, replace the operating thermostat as well. Let us know how you make out.
