Use A Car Cd Changer

Having a car CD changer in your vehicle is an excellent way to bring a big chunk of your music collection along with you when you travel. Many modern changers, however, offer a lot of features that can be confusing to the casual user. By taking the time to learn about the various features of your car CD changer, you will truly be able to get your money's worth.

Instructions

1. Decide what type of CD changer to use in your vehicle. An add-on changer is convenient for people who lease or rent vehicles--or who want to avoid an extensive or difficult installation. Others may want to buy a CD changer that either integrates or replaces their existing mobile sound system in order to have a clean, professional look.

2. Take the time to familiarize yourself with all of your car CD changer's features by thoroughly reading the supplied owner's manual. Many of today's CD changers are quite sophisticated and have a variety of useful features that may not be revealed by simply pushing buttons and reading labels.

3. Get used to the controls on the wireless remote that comes with your CD changer. Play around with the controls until they are intuitive to you, so that you will be able to operate them fluidly without looking. This, of course, will yield safety benefits as well.

4. Choose a CD changer that has a disc-titling feature, which allows the player to read encoded information on the disc itself and relay that information to an LED screen where you can easily read it. This will help you to identify the names of certain songs or albums without having to look for a CD case while you're driving.

5. Try all of the other features in your CD changer to determine which ones are the most useful to you. For instance, a zero-bit detector mute circuit will reduce the hiss that is often audible between tracks. A random track option will take all of the tracks from all of the CDs you have loaded and mix them up, as if you're running your own radio station.
