The BlackBerry Tour smartphone is preloaded with various applications, or apps, such as BlackBerry Messenger and Yahoo! Messenger. Third-party developers often offer other applications to add functionality to your device. Apps range from games to utilities such as clocks or calculators. Downloading these apps to your BlackBerry can help you to enjoy your experience with the Tour even more. Apps are made available through the preloaded BlackBerry App World.
Instructions
1. Press the "Menu" key on your BlackBerry Tour. Scroll to "BlackBerry App World" and press the trackpad.
2. Click the "Search" icon and enter the name of the app you want to download. Review the search results and select the app to download.
3. Click "Download" and enter your BlackBerry ID and password when prompted. Click "Register" if you do not have an ID. Wait for the app to be downloaded to your Tour.
4. Click "Set Permissions" when prompted. Change the "User Data," "Connections" and "Interactions" fields to "Allow" by clicking each field. Press the "Menu" key and click "Save."
5. Access BlackBerry App World to select and download additional applications.
