Edit All Your Photos

Photo editing software lets you fix photos that may have been difficult to take.

Getting rid of red eyes in photos or cropping photographs can easily be done on your computer or even on your smartphone. Online software programs and applications for the iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, Android and other devices all offer photo editing software for free. While the editing software is free, the option to purchase more effects or buy photo albums or prints is not. For photographs that you want to print out and display, it may be a better option to purchase software designed for more advanced photo editing.

Instructions

1. Sign up on an online photo editing site. Online photo editors such as Picnik, Splashup or Phixr will allow you to crop, adjust and edit your photos. Upload your photos from your camera or phone to your computer. Decide which ones you want to edit. Upload those photos into the photo editing program.

2. Check for red eyes by hitting the eye icon in the application. Crop the photos so the edges are neat and the photo is centered. There should be a box icon or an option to crop that you can select. After the box pops up, re-size the image so it captures only what you want to include in the photo.

3. Create cool effects such as making photos into an online collage, putting in bubbled captions or pretending you were on the cover of "People Magazine." Online photo editing sites such as BeFunky, FunPhotoBox, Image Photo Enhancer and PicArtia allow you to enhance your photos through different and more creative editing techniques, according to 1WD.Co. All of these free online photo editors allow you to share your photos through email or social networks.

4. Download applications for your smart phone to edit and share the photos you take with the phone. Photoshop is a free app for the iPhone that will allow you to quickly crop, straighten or put effects into a photo. PicSay, Picture Magic, Doodle and MiniPaint allow you to edit photos on your Blackberry. For Android users, PicSay, FxCamera, Vignette or Camera Zoom FX all have crop, zoom and useful photo effect features. Upload your photo to one of these programs, from your phone, and add cool effects. Crop them, make them black and white, polarize them or add captions.

5. Use a professional editing program, such as Photoshop or Picasa, to edit and organize photos more effectively. Upload your photos to your computer from your camera. Touch up and create effects within the photos using the editing features and following the step-by-step guides.

6. Edit a photo your friend uploaded to Facebook. Social networks have applications, such as Picnik, PiZap and Animoto, built into them that allow users to share and edit photos. Tag yourself in the photo. Open the application you decide to use. Allow the application to upload the photos. Crop and edit the photo as you want.
