As in previous versions of Windows Mobile, version 6.1 allows users to customize their Windows Mobile theme. One of the options available lets you change the color layout or scheme. Depending on your service provider and the manufacturer of your phone, you may have several different color choices available. However, Windows Mobile 6.1 comes standard with a few schemes.
Instructions
Changing Colors on a Standard Model
1. Tap the left soft key for "Start," and then scroll down to "Settings." Press the center directional pad ("Ok") button to enter the Settings menu.
2. Select "Home Screen" from the Settings menu. Press the "Ok" button to enter the menu. Scroll down and highlight "Color Scheme."
3. Press the "Right" or "Left" directional pad button to change your color layout. Some standard configurations include Windows Mobile Green, Default and Guava Bubbles.
4. Tap the left soft key for "Done" (unfortunately, there is no preview available). This will return you to your home screen; after a few seconds, the color layout will update. If you're dissatisfied with it, feel free to re-enter the menu and change it to something else.
Changing Colors on a Touchscreen Model
5. Tap the "Start" button from your home screen (upper-left corner).
6. Tap "Settings," and then tap "Today" to enter the Personalization menu.
7. Choose your color theme from the list. Tap the theme you want to set as the Windows Mobile layout.
