You can connect your audio CD player to your television set to play music through the TV speakers. People often do this to integrate their devices (DVD/CD players, gaming consoles, etc.) and play them all from one place, i.e., the TV. It's convenient, it saves space in your living room and saves you from buying external speakers.
Instructions
1. Turn off your television set and CD player. Unplug them to minimize any potential risk.
2. Connect the RCA cable into the output slots of your audio CD player. You do not need to connect the yellow wire. The yellow wire is only used for connecting video. The white and the red wires are dedicated to the audio. Connect these two wires into their corresponding "output" slots, located on the back of your audio CD player.
3. Connect the other side of the RCA cable into the corresponding "input" slots located on the back panel of your television set. Be sure the wires match the colors of the input slots. Most television sets have multiple input slots. Make note of the slots you used to plug in your audio CD player.
4. Turn on the television set and the audio CD player
5. Use your remote to select the input into which you have connected your audio CD player.
6. Insert an audio CD and push "play." You should be able to listen to songs from the speakers of your television set.
