Restore A Uniden Bc220xlt Cell

A Uniden BC220XLT is a radio with automatic scanning capabilities and that also can store frequencies. This device runs off of batteries and batteries consist of cells. Restore the battery cell of this device by charging it using the charger/AC adapter. You can also replace the battery by turning the device off, sliding the back cover off and putting a new battery in.


Instructions


1. Charge the battery pack cell by plugging in the charger/AC adapter into the charging jack on the left side of the device. The scanner can be used while it is being charged. Plug the AC adapter into a standard AC outlet and keep it connected for 14 to 16 hours to fully charge your battery. Unplug the AC adapter from the battery pack and from the AC outlet when charging is complete. Use only the supplied AAD-2500U charger/AC adapter with your unit. Other AC adapters can cause damage to circuitry or overheating.


2. Replace the battery pack cell by turning the "On-Off/Volume Control" to "Off." Turn your device over to the back, press in the ribbed area and slide the battery cover down to take it off. Unplug the battery pack carefully and take it out of the case. Plug in your new battery pack according to the proper polarity with the red wire on the right as the battery pack is plugged in.


3. Put the battery pack into your scanner with the label side showing. Ensure it is seated in the case before putting the battery cover back on. Put the two tabs of the battery cover in the corresponding place and slide the battery cover upward, locking it in place.
