What Digital Camera Brands Use Memory Sticks?

Memory Stick is a type of removable flash memory card developed by Sony for their devices. Memory sticks are longer and more rectangular than other forms of storage media such as SD and Compact Flash. There are many types of Memory Sticks, classified by formats and sizes, but only a few digital camera brands are compatible with Memory Sticks.

Manufacturers

Even if Memory Sticks are compatible with very few digital camera brands, several companies manufacture Memory Sticks. Sony, SanDisk, Lexar and Delkin are some companies that make Memory Sticks for digital cameras. Memory Stick Prices range from $5 to 180, depending on the manufacturer. Sony Memory Sticks are usually more expensive than memory sticks made by other manufacturers.

Samsung

Samsung Digimax Cameras work with the Memory Stick storage media. Digimax Cameras are compact cameras that feature high performance and a stylish design. Digimax 430, U-CA 3 and V50 are some of the models that are compatible with Memory Stick storage. Only a few Samsung cameras use Memory Stick as their storage media. Other Samsung cameras use other types of memory cards such as SD and Compact Flash.

Sony

Sony users may find it convenient to own memory sticks because these media are compatible with their Sony devices. Memory sticks are compatible with a variety of Sony consumer digital cameras including the CyberShot Series F-H, Series L-P, Series R-W and Mavica cameras. Memory Sticks are also compatible with digital single lens reflex cameras including the Alpha and Mark series.
