Read Sdhc Cards

Trascend SDHC Card

Many electronic devices use SDHC cards (flash memory cards) to store files and information. Digital cameras and cell phones are two of the most popular devices. Some instruments also read SDHC cards. Computers can also read SDHC cards. Since the cards are small, it's easy to transport data between devices and computers. Reading an SDHC card is easy if you have a device that supports it. All computers can support reading an SDHC card, but not all digital devices can.

Instructions

1. Install a media card reader. Any brand will work as long as it supports SDHC cards. Install the software that comes with the card reader. If your computer has an internal media card reader, you don't need to install an external one.

2. Insert the SDHC card into the correct slot. Slots are labeled. There is only one slot in which the SDHC card will fit correctly.

3. Wait for the auto play to bring up an option menu. Click "Open to View Files." If this doesn't happen, go to "My Computer" and choose your SDHC card.

4. Browse files and folders as you would on your hard drive.

5. For other electronic devices, insert the card into the device and it will read automatically.
