Connect A Slingbox To Dish Network

Connect your Slingbox to your Dish Network using composite cables.

Slingbox allows you to broadcast a single signal of your cable over the Internet. You can then watch your home cable on the Internet anywhere in the world. This is very useful if you're on the go a lot as it allows you to keep in touch with your local programming, such as the news. It also allows you to save money on cable bills by sharing a cable connection with someone else over the Internet. You do need a broadband connection to view and send the cable connection or else the video is very slow.

Instructions

1. Connect the composite cables in the back of your television from your Dish Network box into your Slingbox. Plug them into the Video-In connection on the Slingbox. Match the color of the prong with the color of the jack.

2. Plug a second set of composite cables into your Slingbox in the Video-Out connection.

3. Plug the opposite end of the composite cables from your Slingbox into your television where you unplugged the cables in Step 1.

4. Plug an Ethernet cable that is connected to your network into your Slingbox.
