Lock An Apex Tv

Since 1999, the V-chip parental lock has been required on all televisions. The parental lock is a ratings-based system that block can certain programs from being viewed. Apex televisions implement the parental lock by setting a 4-digit numeric code that can be programed via the remote.


Instructions


Setting the Parential Lock


1. Press the menu button on the remote and keep pressing it until system menu is highlighted and press the right arrow button.


2. Press the down arrow button until parental guide is highlighted.


This will turn on or off the pass code function.


3. Press the menu button to turn on the pass code protection.


4. Press the down arrow button and enter the new code using the numeric buttons on the remote.


5. Press the left arrow button when complete.


6. Press the up and down arrows to navigate the TV rating menu.


7. Press the menu button on the highlighted rating that you wish to block.


8. Press the left arrow to exit once finished.
