Disassemble A Polaroid I633

The Polaroid i633 is a pocket-sized digital camera that contains many delicate internal parts, including a motherboard, microchips and small wires. To access these parts, for cleaning or repair, open up the camera. Before attempting to disassemble the i633, note that Polaroid does not accept responsibility for user-created damage, which includes the disassembly of a product. Disassemble at your own risk.

Instructions

1. Open the battery panel on the bottom of the camera by pressing your thumb against the panel and sliding it outward, toward the side of the camera. Set the battery panel aside. Remove the two AA batteries and set them aside.

2. Remove the MicroSD card, if applicable, by pressing your thumb against the MicroSD card on the side of the camera and pushing it inward until you hear a click. Remove your thumb to allow the MicroSD card to pop out of place. Remove the MicroSD card and set aside.

3. Hold the lens casing between your thumb and index finger, squeeze tightly and turn counterclockwise to loosen the lens casing. The lens casing is the metal casing surrounding the glass lens; do not touch the lens. Rotate the lens casing until it is completely removed.

4. Insert the tip of a small screwdriver into the seam that runs around the perimeter of the camera's body, where the front and back panels meet. Wiggle the tip of the screwdriver back and forth until the seam begins to open.

5. Insert your fingernail into the seam, next to the tip of the screwdriver, and pry open the body of the camera. Work slowly and cautiously, being careful not to break the exterior casing. Separate the two casing panels and open the camera to access the motherboard and microchips.
