Technology is constantly getting more complicated. Not being able to figure out how your cell phone works can be quite frustrating. To help you understand operate the cell phone, the manufacturer usually includes a manual to show you use it. If a manual is not available you can follow these steps when you want to unlock your Nokia cell phone.
Instructions
1. Contact your service provider or Nokia and ask them for a code to unlock your phone. They should give you this code for free. Make sure you write the code down so you will remember it in the future.
2. Find software online to download that will unlock your phone. Most Web sites offer this type of software for free. Try searching for this type of software on search engine sites like Google or Yahoo.
3. Locate the serial number (or the IMEI number) of your phone. Check underneath the phone's battery for this.
4. Download the software and begin entering in the manufacturer (Nokia), the serial number, and the phone's model number. A list of codes will be displayed. Write down these codes.
5. Remove your SIM card and turn on your phone. Then, enter the code into your phone, including the number signs. Do this after the "Insert SIM Card" display appears.
