Create A Gift Certificate For A Nail Tech

Create a Gift Certificate for a Nail Tech

Many delight in receiving nail-tech services. These trained beauty professionals can transform even the stubbiest of nails into long and beautiful creations. Because these services can be a bit pricey, some are loathe to pay for them themselves. If seeking a way to build the business of the nail tech in your life, create gift certificates that she can offer to clients, allowing them to give away these services as luxurious gifts.

Instructions

1. Select a certificate size. You can make your certificate any size you wish, but it is often wise to keep the creation small enough that recipients can carry them around in their wallets or purses. Consider making your certificates 8 ½ inches by 2 3/4 inches, allowing you to create four on each standard-sized sheet of paper.

2. Place the tech's name and address on the certificate. Put this identifying information in the upper left-hand corner of the certificate, in the same place the contact information would be were this a check. If your nail tech commonly uses a certain font on business correspondence or company signs, mimic this font in this section of your certificate.

3. Create a line for the recipient's name. Place this line in the center of the certificate. Put the word "To:" before it to make the purpose for the line clear.

4. Place a space for the denomination amount. Create this space by placing a box into which you can write the denomination amount next to the name line, or place another line below the name line for this information. If you wish to allow clients to purchase certificates not for monetary amounts, but instead for certain services, create a checklist of services for which they may buy these certificates. Your checklist could include: manicure, pedicure, polish change and acrylic nail application.

5. Add a line for an authorizing signature. Place this line in the bottom right corner of the certificate. When selling the certificates, authorized parties can sign this line to validate the certificate.

6. Create an expiration date line. Place this line immediately below the signature line. Before you start selling your certificates, decide upon a period of time for which each certificate will be good. For example, you may wish your certificates to be good for a year, or perhaps even for just a couple of months. When individuals selling the certificates sign, they can also add the appropriate expiration date to the certificate.

7. Select and add a nail tech appropriate image. Finish up your certificate by adding a picture as a certificate decoration. Select a picture of a bottle of nail polish, the clip art image of an attractive hand or the logo that the nail tech uses to represent her business. Place this image as a watermark behind the text on your certificate.

8. Print certificates onto thick paper. Use cardstock or resume paper when printing your certificates to give them some weight and make them more durable than certificates printed on standard paper.
