Pioneer in-dash car stereos have become very popular because of their superior sound and appearance to that of a factory stock stereo. One feature, however, that many users complain about is the auditory user interface (AUI), which produces a "beep" each time a button is pressed. If you are unhappy with this feature, it can be turned off on many Pioneer models, although some lower-end models do not provide an option to remove the beep.
Instructions
1. Press the "Multi-Control" button, which is the knob used to adjust the unit's volume. When pressed, the main menu will appear.
2. Turn the "Multi-Control" knob until "Audio" appears on the screen, then press the "Multi-Control" button.
3. Turn the "Multi-Control" knob until "AUI Sound Level" is displayed on the screen. Press the "Multi-Control" button to select it.
4. Turn the "Multi-Control" knob until the AUI level is at "0."
5. Press the "Multi-Control" button once again to save the setting.
