One of the nice features of the Cyber Home system is the ability to connect it to your television set using any one of several different methods. The DVD player's manufacturer recommends using the highest quality connection method that your television will support. If your television supports Component Video or YUV Progressive Scan connection, the manufacturer recommends that you use it. To connect your DVD player to your television using the YUV-Progressive Scan/Component Video Outputs, follow the step by step instructions below.
Instructions
Before Connecting Your DVD Player
1. Determine whether your television supports Progressive Scan or Component Video output.
2. Purchase a set of three Component Video Cables.
3. Follow the instructions below to connect your television to the DVD player in the composite video mode so that you can activate the appropriate video output settings.
Connect Your DVD to the Television With the Composite Video
4. Use the yellow Video Composite Cable to connect the Composite Video Out on the back of the DVD player to the Video IN connection on your television set.
5. Turn on the television and the DVD player. The Cyber Home Splash Screen will appear on the screen.
Changing the Video Output Setting
6. Press setup on your remote control to enter the onscreen setup menu.
7. Press setup and the arrow key to switch from the System to the Video setup menu.
8. Press the right arrow key to enter the Video menu.
9. Use the up and down arrow keys to highlight the Video Output selection on the onscreen menu.
10. Use the right arrow key on the remote control to switch the Video Output selection to YCbCr.
11. Press Enter to save the setting.
12. Use the down arrow to move to Scan Mode.
13. Use the right and left arrow keys to switch the scan mode.
14. Select Interlaced for Component Video and Progressive for YUV-Progressive Scan.
15. Press Enter to save the setting.
16. Press Setup to exit the setup menu.
Change the Video Input Settings
17.Connect the Component Video Cable to the DVD player, matching the colors of the outputs and jacks.
18. Connect the Component Video Cable to the corresponding plugs on the television set.
19. Disconnect the Video composite cable from the television and DVD player.
20. Select the Video Input channel on your television that corresponds to the connection you've made. This may be called Input 3 or Video 3.
21. You should now see the DVD player's splash screen on your television set.
