Put A Battery In A Motorola Krzr

The Motorola KRZR manual may be less than helpful for inserting a battery. The manual instructions are in pictures only, not words, and the arrows to release the cover latch point in different directions in different parts of the manual.

For starters, just to get your bearings, note that the 'M' on the back of the battery cover helps tell which end of the phone is up and which is down.

Instructions

1. Press the battery door release latch in, not toward or away from the 'M' on the back of the battery door. This may not be clear, since the latch design is much different from other phones. You will have to push this button in quite far, so your finger may be too big to push it in far enough. You may need to use your fingernail or a pen.

2. Slide the battery door up (toward the release latch). It will move only about an eighth of an inch. Then pry the battery door out (away from the phone).

3. Find the small lip that overhangs part of the battery chamber. The lip placement varies from model to model. (For the K1M, it is at the bottom of the chamber. For the K1, it is near the top, on the side.) Place the edge of the battery under this lip, and then drop the rest of the battery into the battery chamber.

4. Place the battery cover over the battery, then slide it down (toward the memory chip end of the phone) to engage the release latch.
