While no longer manufactured by Sony, the Cyber-Shot DSC-S650 is still available at various retailers. The small point-and-shoot camera takes pictures at a 7.2 megapixel resolution and is capable of shooting 320 X 240 audio/video clips at 30 frames per second. As with most point-and-shoot cameras, very little can go wrong with the operation, but occasionally you may need to troubleshoot certain areas for best operation.
Instructions
1. Change the batteries in the camera if you are experiencing no power or if the camera refuses to operate even though the power indicator shows that the existing batteries have power remaining.
2. Bring the camera indoors if you have been shooting pictures or video outdoors and the temperature is extremely hot or cold. Both of these conditions can affect battery performance.
3. Upload images on the memory stick to your computer if the camera is fully charged and refuses to take pictures. Reformat or delete the pictures on the memory card after uploading to make room for new ones.
4. Check the write-protection tab on the memory card if you are having difficulty deleting images on the camera. Slide the write-protection tab to the "off" position.
5. Wait for the flash to recharge before attempting to take a second picture. The shutter on the Cyber-Shot will not open while the flash is recharging.
6. Ensure that the flash mode is set to "on" if the flash doesn't work as expected. You can set this function on the shooting menu of the camera.
