Make Posters With Pictures

Use a favorite photo to create a personal poster.

Posters are a great way to decorate a room in your home or office. To personalize, consider creating a poster from one of your own photographs.

Easy to use design software programs can help you design a poster including any inspirational words or sayings you might want to include.

Few people have the capacity to print out a large poster-size photo. Fortunately, many photo processors will print the photo in poster size, or you can take the photo to a local print shop and ask for a poster-size print.

Instructions

Design

1. Choose your photos or photos, save onto your computer in JPEG format.

2. Find an inspirational or personal saying to include on the poster.

3. Create a montage with favorite photos for a unique poster.

Using a design software program on your computer (e.g., Pagemaker or Microsoft Publisher), arrange your photos and text the way you want them. You can use only one photo with no text or a montage of photographs--get creative.

4. Save your creation in JPEG format. Print or save the JPEG on a flash drive or CD.

5. Take your image to a copy center and request a poster of your creation. Some developers (e.g., Walgreens, Walmart, etc.) allow a customer to place the order online. The sites are easy to use and provide a step-by-step guide for uploading your image to the site.
