Page A Beeper

A beeper is a popular telecommunications device.

Initially introduced in the 1950s, beepers are popular devices used as a form of telecommunications. Several types of beepers are available, including one-way numeric, alpha-numeric and two-way models. Although beepers were initially designed to only receive numeric messages, newer models send and receive emails and text messages and receive recorded voice messages.

Instructions

1. Obtain the beeper number for the beeper to which you want to send a page. All beepers are assigned a number that you must call to send a message or page.

2. Dial the beeper number and wait for the line to connect. You will hear a beep, tone or recorded message that indicates when to enter your numeric or alphanumeric message.

3. Enter the phone number where you want to be called or any numeric, alphanumeric or voice message.

4. Press the pound (#) key on your phone to send the page to the beeper. Within a few seconds, the intended recipient will receive the page.
