Replace A Motorola Q Battery

Cell phone batteries gradually lose their ability to hold a charge, so you may find yourself needing to replace the battery in your Motorola Q. To ensure that the new battery is compatible with your Motorola Q, check with the manufacturer or a local Motorola retailer for their recommendations. The warranty on your Motorola Q will not cover damages that arise from using batteries that are not approved by Motorola. After your new battery is installed, it will take several full charging cycles for the battery to reach its peak performance.

Instructions

1. Turn off your phone.

2. Hold the phone face down with the antenna facing you, and slide the battery panel on the rear of the phone (the side that is currently facing up) away from you. It will move slightly and unlock.

3. Swing open the hinged door, and lift out the old battery by prying up the left edge and gently detaching it.

4. Install the new battery by inserting the right edge first, then laying the battery flat in the slot.

5. Close the battery panel, and slide it toward you to lock it.

6. Plug your phone's charger into a wall outlet, and charge the battery completely before using it.
