Universal remote controls allows users to operate multiple entertainment center devices with one remote. You can reduce the clutter and confusion of having to use a different remote control for each device by using a universal remote. The RCA Systemlink 3 allows you to operate up to three devices with one remote. It can be programmed by manually entering a specific code for each device.
Instructions
1. Turn on the device you want to program to operate with the Systemlink 3 remote control.
2. Press and hold the "Code Search" button until the indicator light turns on and then push the button on the remote you want to program. Your options are "TV," "VCR/DVD" and "DBS/CABLE." The indicator light will blink when you press the button.
3. Point the remote control at the device and press the "Off/On" button on the remote control. The remote control automatically tries different codes to operate the device.
4. Push the "Enter" button on the remote control when the device turns off. The "Enter" button must be pressed within 3 seconds of the device turning off or the correct code will not be saved.
5. Test the saved code by pressing the "Off/On" button. If the device turns on the code was saved successfully. If it does not turn on, repeat Steps 1-4.
