The best way of unlocking a Sony Ericsson W800i without a cable is to do so legitimately through the proper channels. There are a number of websites and services that claim they can unlock your phone with special software or code generators, but these can often end up damaging your handset. Instructions
1. Contact your cell phone service provider and ask them for an unlocking code for your handset. They should be able to access the details of your phone from your personal details, but may need your phone's individual IMEI number. You can find out what this is by pressing star, hash (#), 06, hash. The IMEI will then display on your screen. Your provider will probably charge you for an unlocking code. In a few cases, providers will provide an unlocking code for free if your contract has expired.
2. Switch your handset off and remove the SIM card.
3. Turn your handset back on, press the left arrow key once, the star key twice and then the left arrow key again. The message "Personalize with MNC2" or an unlock menu will appear. If an unlock menu appears, select the restriction you want to remove.
4. Enter your unlocking code.
5. Turn your phone off, insert a new SIM card and turn back on to test.
