Repair the Screen of C743 Kodak Camera
Crying the cracked camera screen blues? The Kodak C743 is a wonderful digital camera to start off with. Like all technology driven tools, however, if a part is missing or broken it can ruin even the best Kodak moment. If you need to repair the screen of your C743 Kodak Camera, you will be better off financially to do the work yourself. Having someone else do the work for you will end up costing you more than you paid for the camera.
Instructions
1. Purchase a replacement screen for your C743 Kodak Camera. Upon purchasing or receiving the replacement screen, make sure that it not damaged or scratched. It is unlikely that you will be able to purchase a warranty for a replacement screen, but if a manufacturer does offer one, buy it.
2. Remove batteries and memory card from your C743 Kodak Camera. By doing this, you ensure that you do not damage those components of the camera while completing the repair.
3. Take off the screws of your camera. Three (3) of these screws will be located on the sides of the camera. The other four (4) will be located on the bottom. Do not take your camera apart until you have removed all of the screws.
4. Once you have taken the screws off, you can safely remove the casing surrounding the back of your your C743 Kodak Camera. Do not rush this process or the removal of any of the camera parts. Take your time and be extremely gentle through each step, especially this one.
5. Find the rectangular shaped pad on the side of the screen and turn the screen over; it is attached at the bottom of the camera. Open the black cable clips and begin removing the damaged screen from your C743 Kodak Camera.
6. Insert the cables of the replacement screen into the cable clips. Be sure the clips are secured, then, turn the new screen of your camera over.
7. Gently replace the camera casing and the screws.
8. Test your repair work by putting the batteries and memory card back into your C743 Kodak camera and turning it on. You have succeeded if the screen lights up.
