Change The Timer Duration In A Nikon Coolpix

Nikon COOLPIX cameras have a simple navigation system that allows users to change options easily. For those occasions when you want to take a picture, but want to include yourself in the frame, the cameras have a timer option provided. To make sure that you are not having to run extremely fast to dive into the photo or make your subjects sit with smiles on their faces for a long time, Nikon provides an option of how much time you allow before the photo is taken.

Instructions

Directions

1. Turn on the camera; set to the desired shooting mode. Set this according to what you are taking a picture of and the light conditions in which it is being taken.

2. Display the self-timer menu. Do this by pressing in the direction of the timer icon on the camera's main navigation button.

3. Highlight the option desired. Timing options are a three-second delay or a 10-second delay. Base your delay on how long it will take to get the subject of the picture arranged and in place.

4. Press the "OK" button. A timer icon should appear on the main screen of the camera on the right hand side.
