Repair The Sony Vplcs5

The Sony VPL-CS5 is a digital projector that is able to directly connect to a television, computer system and other video equipment. If, however, the Sony VPL-CS5 is not functioning properly, you need to troubleshoot the situation to determine what exactly is causing the problem, which in turn points you to the exact way of correcting the issue.

Instructions

1. Power down the Sony VPL-CS5, leave it off for a few minutes, then power the device on. If the projector is overheating, it is going to stop functioning properly (such as the video dropping in and out). Once the projector has cooled down, you are able to power the hardware back on.

2. Wipe off the air intake vent on the back of the projector with a damp cloth. If the vent is dusty or dirty, it is going to prevent air from circulating through the projector properly, causing the hardware to overheat.

3. Spray compressed air into the air intake vent. This clears off dust from the interior of the projector. This helps reduce the likelihood of the VPL-CS5's overheating.

4. Replace the projector bulb in the projector if it is not turning on. Like standard light bulbs, a projector bulb is eventually going to burn out. When the bulb is out, you are unable to see any produced image.
