Print With A 3g Smartphone

Among the biggest benefits of owning a smartphone is access to computing features such as email and Internet browsing. A phone on a 3G network has enhanced browsing speed to allow faster access to data. Users can download documents from the Internet and save them to the phone and then print them. Since most smartphones do not come with tools to accommodate printing, users must download applications and programs that allow you to print with a smartphone. Choose from a range of printing applications that vary according to document use and price.

Instructions

1. Scroll through the main menu of the phone to "Applications." Click or tap the "Applications" icon and a menu of applications available for download and compatible with the phone will appear.

2. Search the available applications to locate a print program. A range of selections typically are available, including virtual printers that allow documents to be uploaded to a server and options to send a document directly to an inkjet printer.

3. Click an application that allows you to set up a physical printer and choose "Download." You may be prompted to enter a password. If so, enter your phone access password and click "OK." After the application is downloaded, it will appear in the phone's main menu.

4. Click or tap the downloaded print application. Choose the option to set up a new printer. The printer must be connected to a network in order to connect the printer with the phone. Enter the printer name and Internet Service Provider address. To find the IP address of a printer connected to a computer, open the "Printer and Faxes" menu under the computer's Control Panel. Right-click the printer you want to add to the phone and click "Properties from the drop-down menu.

5. Click the "Ports" tab to display the IP address. To find the IP address of a printer connected through a wireless router, click the computer's "Start" menu, then enter "RUN" (without quotes) in the command line. When the DOS box appears, type "CMD" (without quotes), then click "Enter" on the keyboard. Type "IPCONFIG" (without quotes) to find the printer's network address.
