Smartphones can certainly keep you on top of all of your emails, SMS texts and contacts. However, if you switch phones and your contact information from your BlackBerry 8830 doesn't transfer to your HTC Incredible, you will need to sync the contacts to your HTC phone. Although this may seem complicated, all you really have to do it export your BlackBerry contacts to Outlook, then sync the contacts from Outlook to your Incredible. But before you start this process, you'll need to make sure you have BlackBerry Desktop Manager and HTC Sync is downloaded to your computer.
Instructions
Export BlackBerry Contacts to Outlook
1. Connect your BlackBerry 8830 to your computer using a USB cable cord. Double-click "BlackBerry Desktop Software," and click the "Synchronize" icon.
2. Click the "Configuration" tab at the top of the Synchronization screen.
3. Select "Configure Sync," then highlight "Address Book."
4. Select "Choose," then click "Microsoft Outlook."
5. Click the "Radio Synchronize" button to export your contacts. Disconnect your BlackBerry from your computer when the export is finished.
Sync BlackBerry Contacts to HTC Incredible
6. Connect your HTC Incredible to your computer using the USB cable cord.
7. Double-click on "Sync Manager" from your desktop to open the program.
8. Click "Synchronize Now" to automatically sync your BlackBerry contacts to your HTC Incredible through Outlook.
