A screwdriver and a new projector lamp are all you need to replace a Philips projector lamp.
There are many different models of Philips projector lamps. However, replacing the lamp is a similar process for each of them. Make sure to purchase the correct lamp for the projector you own, as each projector has a different requirement. Check the model number on the bottom of the unit or consult the user guide for the correct replacement lamp.
Instructions
1. Turn the unit off from the main power button located on the front of the Philips projector. Unplug the unit as an added precaution.
2. Allow the lamp to cool down for at least five minutes. The lamp is extremely hot and can burn your fingers if you touch it without allowing it to cool first.
3. Turn the unit over and locate the horizontal adjusters. Unscrew them with a screwdriver and remove them from the cover. Unscrew the screws on the opposite side of the cover with a screwdriver and remove the cover.
4. Unscrew the screws on each side of the lamp holder with a screwdriver.
5. Lift up on the lamp holder handle and gently pull it out of the Philips projector.
6. Remove the new lamp unit from the packaging, taking care not to bump, drop or touch the lamp.
7. Align the guides on the new lamp holder with the guides inside the unit and slide the new lamp into the unit.
8. Insert and tighten the screws on each side of the lamp holder.
9. Place the cover back on the unit and re-install the screws and guides.
10. Plug the unit back into the power supply and restart according to the directions for your model.
