Memory cards are compact and easy to transfer out when they become full as well as being reusable when you have copied the photos to a safer, more permanent medium. Although every digital camera system varies somewhat, the basics of recovering the digital photos from your memory card remain the same.

Instructions

1. Remove the memory card from your digital camera.

2. Insert your memory card into an external drive which can hook up to your USB port. You do not need to do this if your memory card can be directly inserted into your computer.
