The Digital Concepts 7.1 Megapixel camera is a small point-and-shoot camera with a 3x optical zoom and built in flash. The camera has a 2.4" LCD display for reviewing your photographs, and uses widely available SD memory cards to store data. The camera only weighs 6.08 ounces, making it a lightweight camera perfect for everyday use. It has the added advantage of operating on 3 x AAA size batteries, which are widely available should you run out of batteries away from home.
Instructions
1. Check your battery levels. Low battery level is the cause of many problems and can cause poor performance or cause the camera to cease operating altogether.
2. Ensure your SD memory card has not been switched to "write protect." Many SD memory cards have a small switch that stops data being written to the card or deleted from it. Ensure this is set to "off" or "write" depending on the brand you are using.
3. Confirm you have enough space on your SD memory card. When you are shooting a lot of photos your card can fill up quickly. If it has no more data space available, you will not be able to take any more photos.
4. Check your hand position when taking photos, to ensure you are not blocking the flash or the lens. It is easy, on small cameras, to accidentally slip your finger over part of the camera, obscuring the view or causing the flash to lose effectiveness.
5. Re-insert your batteries to ensure you are inserting them the right way up according to the diagram on the inside of the battery door. Incorrectly inserted batteries will cause the camera to cease functioning and in some cases damage the camera.
6. Ensure there is enough light for your photographs, or use the flash to illuminate subjects. If there is not enough light, images will be blurry or unclear. If you do not want to use a flash and light is insufficient, then a tripod will keep the camera steady.
7. Select the right mode for your requirements. The dial on the rear of the camera will change between review, still, movie and set up modes, and the camera will not operate another mode if it is in the wrong position. For example, you cannot take any more photos when in the review mode, indicated by the "play" icon.
