The Kodak EasyShare P850's lens will focus as close as 3.9 inches.
Released in 2005, the Kodak EasyShare P850 is part of Kodak's class of "advanced digital cameras," according to the website Digital Photography Review. The camera is compact point and shoot model that is built around a 12x optical zoom Schneider Kreuznach lens. The lens will focus as close as 3.9 inches, which makes it an ideal lens to use for macro or close-up photography for flowers or other similar subjects.
Instructions
1. Install a new a new memory card and battery into the Kodak EasyShare P850.
2. Attach the camera to a tripod, turn the camera on and turn the exposure mode dial located on the top of the camera to "Flower" for macro photography. The field of view is small when shooting in "Macro" mode, and any camera shake will be visible in the pictures.
3. Compose the picture on the rear LCD (liquid crystal display) screen by sliding the "W/T" rocker switch and adjusting the lens until you are satisfied with your composition.
4. Press the shutter release button half way to activate the camera's auto focus and metering programs.
5. Press the shutter release the rest of the way to take the picture. Press the "Review" button on the back of the camera to inspect the picture you took. If you are not pleased, press the "Delete" button to remove it from the memory card.
