Magellan 4250 Specs

The Magellan Maestro 4250 is a GPS navigator manufactured and sold by Magellan Navigation, Inc., a California-based maker of consumer and professional grade GPS devices. The Magellan Maestro 4250 is designed to be used primarily for car navigation. The device comes with built-in maps of the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.


Dimensions and Weight


The Magellan Maestro 4250 is 4.9 inches wide, 0.7 inches deep and 3.3 inches high. The navigator weighs 6.9 oz.


Display


The device is equipped with a 4.5-inch WQVGA color touch screen. The touch screen shows current GPS position, route, ETA, or estimated time of arrival and Points of Interest on an interactive map.


Points of Interest


The Magellan Maestro 4250 map comes with 6 million pre-programmed Points of Interest that include gas stations, restaurants, cafes and ATMs. The navigator allows the user to search Points of Interest by category or name near her position or near any city. If she touches a Point of Interest icon, she will be able to see its name, address, phone number and get an instant route. It is also possible to create and store personal Points of Interest.


QuickSpell


QuickSpell is an exclusive Magellan-designed auto-complete feature that allows the user to enter a destination or make a search with just a few taps on the screen. QuickSpell also corrects spelling.


Battery


The device comes with a lithium-ion rechargeable battery. The battery of the Magellan Maestro 4250 can run about four hours when fully charged.
