A useful application of most alphanumeric pagers, including the Apollo pager, is the ability to accept and read text messages. Though not widely known, Apollo pagers can simply and quickly accept text messages of up to 180 characters. These messages can be sent from computers or phones, and can be read easily on any Apollo pager.
Instructions
1. Find out the 10-digit number and the wireless service provider of the Apollo pager you are trying to text.
2. Compose the text with any email program on your phone or computer. Make sure the text is 180 characters or less.
3. Click the "To:" field of the email application and enter the 10-digit number of the pager you are trying to reach.
4. After the pager number, type "@" followed by the name of the wireless provider of the Apollo you are texting. The address will look similar to this: 5551234567@verizonwireless.com.
5. Click "Send" and your email will be sent to the Apollo pager as a text message.
