Alltel ringback tones have become a popular trend and cell phone amenity that has gone strides toward rendering the stationary dial tone obsolete. Ringback tones enable your callers to listen to the music of your choice while they are waiting for you to receive their incoming call. These ringtones are user-friendly and easy to implement. They also come with certain features, such as ringback rotation, which enables you to move your ringtones around for designation to different callers.
Instructions
1. Log into your Alltel mobile account online. (The Alltel URL address is listed in Resources.)
2. Click on the "Ringbacks" option that will be listed in the top navigation menu when your account portal appears. When the "Ringbacks" profile loads within your account, click on the profile tab or opt to purchase a ringback tone if you have not already by clicking on the "Buy" option.
3. Set the rotation that you desire for your ringback tones. Click on the "Groups" option to assign certain ringback tones to specific callers. A list of assorted, blank data forms will be displayed when the "Groups" screen loads. Click on the ringback tone of your choice and enter the phone numbers you would like to implement for that ringback tone. Click on the "Save" option to configure and apply your new settings.
4. Adjust the time frame for the rotation of your ringback tones. Click on the "Profile" tab and select the "Time Frame" option to implement the time of day you desire for certain ringback tones to be played for your incoming callers. Click "Save" once you complete the time configurations for your ringback tones.
