Install an HP Web Camera
A webcam makes it easier for people to make and share videos with friends and family. Chatting is more personal because the person's face can now be seen. Installation of an HP web camera is simple and does not require any hard work. This is important to anyone whom just bought an HP computer and wants to figure out install and activate a web camera.
Instructions
Install an HP Web Camera
1. Go to the "Start" menu and "Control Panel" and click on "Device Manager. Proceed to "Imaging Devices" and "HP Webcam."
2. Click on the "Driver" tab. Update the driver. Click "Search Automatically" for updated driver software.
3. Open "Quick Play" and click on the music, video and picture icon on the bottom of the screen.
4. Under "Source" click "USB Video Device." Your webcam should be activated. Press the red button on the bottom of the screen to record video. Press it once more to stop. Click on the camera icon to take a snap shot image.
5. Go to "Public," "Public Videos" and "HP Webcam" to view your videos. Go to "Public," and "Public Pictures" to view your pictures.
