The DirecTV RC23 is a universal remote control that has the ability to control up to four separate components, including a DirecTV receiver, two different stereo or video components and a television. This universal remote allows you to consolidate the functions of all your separate component remote controls and use the RC23 for all remote operations. Programming the DirecTV RC23 is a relatively simple process for any compatible TV, including the Memorex TV.
Instructions
1. Turn the Memorex television on.
2. Slide the "MODE" switch on the RC23 to the "TV" position.
3. Press down and hold the "MUTE" and "Select" buttons at the same time until the green light on the remote blinks twice. The green light is located under the "TV" position.
4. Go to the DirecTV "TV Codes" page (see Resources) and locate the code(s) for the Memorex television in the list.
5. Use the number buttons to enter the five-digit code for the Memorex TV. There are a few different codes available for Memorex TVs. If the first code you try does not work, continue to enter each code until the green light on the remote flashes twice.
