Uses Of A Tripod

Tripods come in different sizes and have various uses. They can be adjusted, and they can be used indoors and out. Tripods make recreational and occupational activities easier.

Surveying

A transit is a device used in carpentry to survey land and align foundation walls. The transit sits on top of a tripod (see Resources).

Videos

Video cameras come in various sizes. Each one of them can be placed on a tripod. This helps hold them steady while you're filming. They are especially beneficial when you're taking footage of yourself and don't have someone to hold the camera.

Pictures

Digital and film cameras can also be placed on tripods. A flexible tripod can be attached to poles or stationary objects. This can be beneficial when you're taking pictures by yourself in remote areas or you want to include yourself in a group photo and there's no one around to take the picture (see Resources).

Space

Telescopes are used to look at stars, planets and other objects in the solar system. Tripods can be used to hold them in place.

Microphones

Tripods are also used to hold microphones. Small ones are used in radio stations, and larger ones are used for holding microphones while playing music (see Resources).
