Installing An Hp Photosmart 2575v Printer Ink Cartridge

The Hewlett-Packard Photosmart 2575v printer is an all-in-one printer, scanner and copier that uses a black cartridge, tri-color (cyan, magenta and yellow) cartridge and/or optional photo cartridge to print documents, photos and video still shots. The print carriage or ink cartridge holder, at rest, sits on the right side of the printer under the scanner beneath an access door. Because the HP Photosmart 2575v is designed with a slide-and-lock ink cartridge system, installing a new cartridge in your printer only requires that you remove the old cartridge if applicable and push the new one into its slot until it locks in place.

Instructions

1. Turn on your HP Photosmart 2575v printer if it is not already on.

2. Reach under the access door handle at the front of the printer beneath the scanner and lift up on the scanner and door until the assembly locks into an open position, revealing the print carriage on the right side of the printer. If replacing a used cartridge, push down on the label of the cartridge to unlock it from the carriage and then lift it out of its slot.

3. Remove the new ink cartridge from its packaging--holding the cartridge by its plastic sides. Pull the pink tab covering the copper-colored contacts gently down and then remove the tape from the ink nozzles.

4. Align the cartridge at the front of the slot in the print carriage with the label on the cartridge pointing up. Push the cartridge into the slot until it clicks securely in place.

5. Close the access door by lowering it and the scanner back into position.
