Hook Your Mp3 Player To The Line In On A Boom Box

Bring your MP3 collection to your Boom Box in moments

MP3 players are convenient ways to carry up to tens of thousands of digital songs. Through use of a simple connector cord, you can now bring new life to your personal music collection. Connect your portable audio device to the line in on your boom box for family gatherings, small get-togethers, or to just hear some of your favorite music over speakers.

Instructions

1. Connect the 1/8th end of the "Y" adapter cable to the headphone jack of your MP3 player. The 1/8 end of the "Y" cable looks like the standard end of a pair of headphones.

2. Connect the Red and White end of the "Y" cable to the line-in on the back of your boom box. This jack on the back of your boom box is the line-in auxiliary input. Make sure that the colors correspond with each other (red with red, white with white).

3. Tune your boom box to the correct setting. Settings on many boom boxes include CD, Radio, Cassette, and Aux (short for auxiliary). Tune your boom box to the auxiliary setting.

4. Turn on your MP3 player and your boom box. Play the desired music on your MP3 player as you normally would. You should now hear music from your MP3 player coming through your boom box speakers.
