Sync A 3g Iphone To Two Computers

Syncing an iPhone with a computer lets you charge the device, as well as manage the audio and video content that has been either uploaded or downloaded onto the device. The problem with syncing one 3G iPhone with two (or more) computers is that the iTunes program on those computers tries to delete the files that you have saved on the phone. This can easily be avoided by changing the way the phone syncs with iTunes.

Instructions

1. Connect the iPhone's cord to the first computer you synced the phone with via a USB port on the computer.

2. Plug the opposite end of the phone's cord into the port on the bottom of the iPhone.

3. Open iTunes on the computer.

4. Choose the iPhone selection under the "Devices" list in the left-hand iTunes column.

5. Click the "Summary" tab in iTunes.

6. Click on the blank "Manually manage music and videos" box in the middle of iTunes to check that box.

7. Click "Apply" to enable the option on the iPhone. It is now safe to sync the 3G iPhone to two computers.
