Download A Mini Dvd To A Computer & Attach It To Email

The data recorded to a mini DVD from your mini DVD camcorder is in a digital format that you can transfer to your computer and then distribute via assorted methods, such as email. Mini DVD camcorders record directly to a format that can be read by standalone DVD players, meaning that your video will consist of several folders and files. An email attachment must be a single file. Therefore, you will need to zip all of those files and folders into one archive file to simplify the attachment process. This process has the added benefit of compressing the files to reduce their size.

Instructions

1. Eject the mini DVD from your camcorder.

2. Open the DVD drive on your computer, and then place the mini DVD into the mini DVD-sized indentation at the center of the drive. If your computer has a slot-loading DVD player, then you will need to use the USB cable that came with your camcorder to connect the mini DVD camcorder to the computer.

3. Click the "Start" button at the bottom-left corner of your computer screen, and then click "Computer."

4. Right-click the icon for your mini DVD, and then click "Open."

5. Press "Ctrl" and "A" simultaneously to select all of the content on the disc, and then press "Ctrl" and "C" simultaneously to copy it.

6. Right-click on your computer's desktop, click "New," and then click "Folder."

7. Type a name for the mini DVD into the folder name field, and then press "Enter."

8. Double-click the newly created folder. Press "Ctrl" and "V" simultaneously to paste the copied contents of the mini DVD to the folder. Close the folder once the paste process has completed.

9. Right-click the folder, click "Send To," and then click "Compressed (Zipped) Folder." This will created a zipped folder on your desktop.

10. Open a Web browser window and navigate to your email service, or open the third-party email client on your computer that you use to send email.

11. Click the "Compose" or "New" button in your email interface to compose a new message.

12. Type the email address of your intended recipient into the "To" field, type a title for your email into the "Subject" field, and then type the content of the email into the "Body" field.

13. Click the "Attach a File" or "Attachments" button.

14. Browse to the zipped folder on your desktop, and then double-click the file to add it to your message as an attachment.
