The Canon Powershot

The Canon PowerShot line is full of affordable, compact cameras.


The Canon PowerShot line of digital cameras was created for consumers who want a compact camera they can carry with them while they're on the go. All of the cameras in the PowerShot line have a few standard characteristics.


Digital


All of the cameras in the Canon PowerShot line are digital and save pictures onto a flash card of some sort.


Compact


All of the cameras in the PowerShot line of digital cameras are compact and easily can be put in a pocket or purse for travel.


Scene Modes


All of the cameras in the PowerShot line have built-in scene modes, such as sports, landscape macro, and portrait, that automatically adjust the settings in the camera to the optimal settings for a specific situation.


Autofocus


All of the cameras in the PowerShot in the line have an autofocus feature. The autofocus is activated by pressing the shutter down halfway, waiting until the camera focuses and then pressing the shutter button down the remainder of the way to take a picture.


Inexpensive


All of the cameras in the PowerShot line are affordable, with the most expensive coming in at just under $500.
