Global Positioning System (GPS) units allow you to stop worrying about navigation and concentrate on driving. The Magellan 1412 GPS features 4.3-inch touch screen, six million points of interest and voice controls. The Magellan 1412 is easily set up, so that you can begin receiving turn-by-turn directions and in a few steps.
Instructions
1. Press the suction-cup mount or adhesive disk to your windshield and flip the lever to secure the mount in place.
2. Line up the markings on the bottom of the Magellan 1412 with the bottom of the cradle and tilt the top of the GPS back into the cradle until it snaps in place.
3. Connect the power adapter to your car's outlet and insert the USB end into the port on the GPS. Press the "On" button at the top of the device to turn it on.
4. Tap the "Enter Address" icon on the main menu screen and enter in a street address to navigate to a known destination. Tap the "Points Of Interest" icon to select one of the preinstalled points of interest. Alternately, choose the "Show Map" button to select a point from the surrounding area. The Magellan 1412 will provide you with turn-by-turn directions to your to the location.
