The Canon Digital Rebel is a digital single lens reflex camera that allows the user to get the perfect picture by customizing and adjusting his shot. The beginner-friendly camera has an adjustable lens for getting the desired focus on the picture and for taking long-distance shots. Learn the basic functions and operate the Rebel.
Instructions
1. Insert the BP-511 battery into the compartment. The battery door is marked at the rear of the camera. The Rebel uses a BP-511 lithium ion rechargeable battery pack, which is included in the camera package.
2. Insert a SD memory card into the camera. The memory card slot is marked to the side of the camera, and the card slides into place. This does not come with the camera and will need to be purchased separately.
3. Attach the adjustable lens onto the front of the camera. There are colored marks around the lens, which is repeated on the lens casing itself. Match the colors up and twist gently until the lens clicks into place.
4. Turn on the camera. The power switch is on the top right-hand side of the camera and is clearly marked with an "On" and "Off" option. Once the camera is powered on, the LCD screen will light up.
5. Turn the focus switch to the "AF" position. This is just behind the lens at the front of the camera. This will enable the camera to automatically focus your shots.
6. Move the mode dial to "Full Auto." The mode switch is at the top of the camera next to the power switch. The Full Auto position is a green rectangular mark. Full Auto enables the camera to automatically adjust to the light settings, and the flash will operate when needed.
7. Look through the viewfinder to focus on your picture. Press the shutter down halfway and let the object come into focus. Depress the shutter fully and complete taking the picture.
