Power Down A Sonos Remote

The Sonos 200 Controller is an intuitive device that allows you to access your Sonos-enabled sound system. The Sonos 200 Controller can be placed into two different low-power usage modes. In locked mode the controller will turn off its screen and not respond to input but will remain ready for use and will continue to consume a small amount of power. In deep sleep mode, the controller will power down completely until it is returned to its charging cradle.

Instructions

Locked Mode

1. Open the music menu by pressing the "Music Menu" button at the bottom of the screen.

2. Select "Settings" in the music menu then select "Controller Settings" from the settings menu.

3. Select "Lock Controller." The controller will turn off its screen and no longer respond to your input.

4. Hold the zones button (the button with the house icon on it) for two seconds to unlock your device.

Deep Sleep Mode

5. Open the music menu by pressing the "Music Menu" button at the bottom of the screen.

6. Select "Settings" in the music menu then select "Controller Settings" from the settings menu. Select "Advanced Settings" from the controller settings menu.

7. Select "Turn Off Controller" and your controller will now completely power down.

8. Return your controller to its charging cradle to turn it back on.
