Canon Paper Types

Canon makes printer paper for art and business projects.

The brand name Canon is most often associated with cameras, camcorders and camera supplies, but they also produce a wide variety of printing paper suitable for photography, fine arts and other projects.

Photography Paper

Canon supplies several types of photo paper for those who prefer to print their own photos rather than have them done at a lab. Photo Paper Plus Glossy 11, Photo Paper Pro and Photo Paper Pro II are high-gloss papers which yield high-quality photo prints. Photo Paper Pro Platinum is also glossy, but prints at a more professional level of quality. Photo Paper Plus Glossy and Photo Paper Plus Glossy Double Sided print photos that have the look and feel of traditional photographs developed from film. Photo Paper Plus Semi-Gloss has a satin finish with low glare; Matte Photo Paper is heavyweight with a matte finish; and Photo Paper Glossy is a lower-cost alternative to the other papers. All of the photo papers are compatible with most Canon printers, and range in sizes from 4" x 6" to 13" x 19".

Business Printing Paper

High Resolution Paper is Canon's printer paper made especially for business products. It comes in the standard 8.5" x 11" size, and produces photographic images and high-resolution graphics.

Fine Art Printing Paper

Canon offers several printing papers that will interest other artists besides photographers. Fine Art "Premium Matte" paper has the feel of drawing paper and is compatible with dye and pigment-based ink. Fine Art "Photo Rag" is a soft white cotton paper made to facilitate printing the finest details in an image. Fine Art "Museum Etching" paper is a heavyweight, textured white paper made to create museum-quality art prints. All three art papers are available in sizes 8.5" x 11" and 13" x 19".
