Hp M307 Directions

Point-and-shoot digital cameras allow users to take high-quality snapshots without advanced photography skills. They generally don't incorporate detachable lenses or flashes, as do DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) cameras. But the lenses and flashes that are built into point-and-shoot cameras are designed to maximize the camera's functionality and can be used in a variety of environments. With the help of some basic guidelines for your HP M307 point-and-shoot camera, you can quickly start snapping high-quality photos.

Instructions

1. Install two AA lithium batteries into the M307. Facing the camera from its rear, slide the camera's right panel down to open the battery compartment. Look for the positive (+) and negative (-) symbols inside of the compartment. Drop the positive side of one battery into the (+) slot and drop the negative side of the other battery into the (-) slot -- slide the battery door back into place.

2. Insert a memory card into the slot on the back side of the battery compartment, contacts side first and with the gold contacts facing in to the camera's body. Press the card firmly into the slot, then slide the battery door back into place. Because the camera has internal memory, installing a memory card is optional.

3. Slide the "On/Off" button to the "On" position -- the "On/Off" button is located at the back of the camera, near the top.

4. Use the arrow button on the directional keypad, located on the back of the camera, to select your language from the camera's menu, if this is the first time the camera has been powered on -- press the "OK/Menu" button to confirm your selection.

5. Use the arrow buttons to set the date and time. Use the up and down arrows to change the date and time values. Use the horizontal arrows to move from field to field. Press the "Menu/OK" button to save the date and time.

6. Press the camera icon to put your camera into "Live" mode. Use the M307's LCD as your viewfinder. Press the shutter button, on the camera's top right side, to take a picture. Or, press the camcorder icon to record a video -- press the button again to stop recording.

7. Press the "Play" button to review captured images and videos. Use the horizontal arrow buttons to navigate through captured items on your camera's display.

8. Install the HP Image Transfer utility on your computer before attaching your camera to your computer. After installing the software, connect your M307 to your computer via the camera's USB cable. The HP Image Transfer utility will load when the camera is attached to the computer. Click on the utility's "Start Transfer" button, to transfer your images and videos to the "My Pictures" and "My Videos" folders on your computer.
